From Principal's Desk
I had probably not planned to teach in the first year of taking over as the Principal. I knew there would be many other tasks that will require my attention. Eventually, I did step into class and there has been no looking back since !
I have realized that we work to make a difference in the lives of our students. However not every student will succeed in the short time we have with them. But we do not give up. Nor do we blame ourselves. Often life's-lesson that we teach are not realized until students are ready to learn them and that could happen years after they have left school.
When in February this year the graduating class of ISC (XII) took centre-stage in my address i told them that the occasion was not simply a celebration of their years with us and their accomplishments over these years. It was also an occasion to recognize the beginning of an entirely new chapter in their lives. And those who had graduated before, they too would forever continue on their journey to successfully take on the complexities of the world.
One more time heritagians, let me pass on to you a piece of advice from E.H. Chapin. It made my day and just might make yours.
Here it is :
" Not armies, not nations, have advanced the race; but here and there in the course of ages, an individual has stood up and cast his shadow over the world".
Remember Heritagians, the rung of ladder was never meant for you to rest upon but only to hold your foot long enough to enable you to put the other somewhat higher.
Heritagians, believe in the possibilities of your dreams, for you are destined for great things.......
With Best Wishes,
